Facebook employees want to ‘prevent Trump

FACEBOOK insisted Friday that it is not “unfriending” Donald Trump by working against the billionaire’s presidential bid.Facebook workers used an internal company poll to ask CEO Mark Zuckerberg whether the social-media giant should try “to help prevent President Trump in 2017,

At least 61 employees voted that the anti-Trump query be posed to Zuckerberg, the fifth most popular question.Gizmodo wondered whether Facebook, used by more than 1 billion people and with enormous influence in distributing news, would tilt campaign coverage against The Donald.A Facebook spokesman insisted it would remain a neutral platform open to all parties and campaigns.
We encourage any and all candidates, groups, and voters to use our platforms to share their views on the election and debate the issues,” the company said in a statement.
But Zuckerberg himself entered the fray by Trump’s positions during a speech earlier this week.I hear fearful voices calling for building walls and distancing people they label as ‘others,’ ” Zuckerberg said, not mentioning Trump by name.I heard them calling for blocking free expression, for slowing immigration, for reducing trade, and in some cases, even for cutting access to the internet.
